Nick Milton on the "failure" to embed KM

Nick Milton is a good source for sage perspective on KM.  I think the key is strategic alignment: KM gets embedded when it’s embraced as strategic. In other cases, it’s embedded as something else, like Lean six-sigma at GE or other successful efforts to embed some cultural approach or norm and instantiate it as organizational strategy. Otherwise it dies — often it dies because the alignment isn’t there.
